Premium beans and pulses from Myanmar farmers

Ayar Thukha San Pulses & Beans Trading Co. Ltd. is a family-owned agricultural company based in Myanmar. Founded in 2006 as Ayar Thukha San Trading in Yangon, we transitioned into an export-oriented enterprise by 2011.

Our primary focus is on trading premium Myanmar beans, rice, and maize, catering to both international and domestic markets. Our specialization lies in processing high-quality beans, exported to countries like India, China, Thailand, and the Philippines. Annually, our exports range from 50,000 to 80,000 tons, complemented by domestic distribution of 100,000 tons.

In partnership with around 5,000 ethnic farming families, we operate across 12,000 to 20,000 hectares in the fertile Ayeyarwady Delta. Beyond commerce, we genuinely care about our suppliers, striving to uplift their livelihoods and support their communities.

Quality control is paramount in our operations. In 2022, we acquired ISO 9001 for quality management systems and HACCP for food safety. Our future plans include expanding into European, British, and Japanese markets to reach discerning consumers worldwide.

Sustainability

We take pride in our ability to confront challenges head-on and discover sustainable solutions.

Given that more than 50% of our nation's population is under the age of 30, it is essential to engage the youth in the beans and pulses industry to ensure its long-term viability. To achieve this, we have put in place a recruitment strategy aimed at attracting young talent as our business expands.

Moreover, our commitment to sustainability extends to our day-to-day operations:

  • We utilize all by-products, including bean husks and corn sheaths, through upcycling to create high-quality animal feed.

  • We minimize our environmental impact and reduce our carbon footprint by repurposing factory waste to provide farmers with livestock feed, helping them nourish their animals sustainably.
